The story of how our CEO Trevor Jensen jumped in front of a car to save his dog, nearly died and dedicated his life to playing with dogs for a living.
Trevor was walking his dog one morning and a driver ran a red light and came speeding toward him and his dog crossing the street at an intersection. With no time to think, he just reacted. He jumped in front of his dog and pushed her out of the way. He was hit by the car and suffered internal bleeding, a torn ACL, a torn MCL, a concussion and a host of other issues. It was a hit and run and he was left in the street and had to get himself to the hospital. When Trevor was in the hospital he thought he was going to die because the doctors were rushing around and seemed panicked. He remembered thinking “If I die today was I happy doing what I was doing?” He came to the realization that he would be happy playing with dogs all day and helping to make his dog happier and healthier and not working a desk job. If his instinct was to sacrifice himself for his dog they are obviously very important to him.
